Component 4. School Leadership Program
This component is supporting the national delivery of an updated School Leadership Program (SLP) supporting headteachers, deputy headteachers, PEAs, inspectors, and selected female section heads to;
- Creating a positive and inclusive culture towards vulnerable children including girls, over-age students, and those with special needs
- Supporting improved morale and performance of teachers, including strengthening their capacity to teach large classes
- Supervising the construction of low-cost classrooms to ensure compliance with climate change mitigation and adaptation measures, as outlined in the Construction Manual
- Improving the efficiency and equity of school resource utilization
- Maintaining and utilizing academic records to support low-performing students
- Acting as climate change (eco) champions within their schools, facilitating teachers’ and students’ engagement with climate activities, and conducting in-school trainings to ensure that teachers within their school understand what to do in the case of climate-induced emergencies.
